Say hello to the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, the latest version of the popular Huracan. The Lamborghni Huracan appeared four years ago and for many Lambo fans it remains one of the most intoxicating models to come out of Sant’Agata. And with the Performante trim added in 2018 it is one of the fastest cars around.

Now it is making more updates to the Huracan, albeit quite subtle ones, but they should be enough to keep the Huracan feeling fresh, and the new model will go on sale this spring.

The Huracan Evo was unveiled on 7th January, although it is believed that it will make its proper debut at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show in March. According to Motor Authority, the Evo sports some significant upgrades while still retaining the Huracan’s good looks.

To begin with, the front and rear fascias have been changed: “the rear features a new design for the main vent which now stretches the width of the car, and the exhaust tips have been moved higher to match the positioning of the exhaust tips on the Performante model.” Plus, the Evo has the same engine spec as the Performante. Motor Authority says: “The 5.2-liter V-10 in the Huracan Evo matches the Performante’s 640 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, all-wheel drive, and a 3,135-pound curb weight, the output is enough to rocket the Huracan Evo to 62 mph/100 kmh from rest in 2.9 seconds. The top speed is claimed to be in excess of 202 mph/325 kmh.”

Lamborghini has also added four-wheel steering to enhance performance at the maximum speed, as well as a computer system that controls every aspect of the Evo’s dynamic behaviour. All the dynamic system elements are fully integrated and setup to anticipate the next move and needs of the driver via steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedal inputs.

The interior has received a makeover as well, with a new touchscreen display that measures 8.4 inches/ 21.36 cm across and controls multiple driving functions as well as connectivity, including Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. This also allows the driver to use voice commands and connects the driver with Siri.
